THE MANIFESTO SHOW
The Hiatus is Ending w/ The Manifesto Show 3rd Annual Chekhov’s Gun Night
What is Chekhov’s Gun Night? It’s not often that the Russians have something to celebrate. So when a name like Anton Chekhov gets tossed around, we Ruskies naturally perk up our frozen little ears. The famed writer is so prolific, he has his very own literary device: Chekhov’s Gun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chekhov%27s_gun).In celebration of the man and his foreshadowing ways, The Manifesto Show is hosting Chekhov’s Gun Night, an evening of suspenseful scenes and loaded improv. Each performing team will be given a loaded cap gun to be used at their discretion. Build suspense by leaving the unused gun center stage until the final moments, or work a monoscene around its appearance. Use it early or late, silly or serious. But every team must use Chekhov’s Gun.One gun, one stage, infinite possibilities.Line Up Coming Soon!!!8pmLottery Slot9:15pmComrades (Mark David Christenson and Jen Krueger)10:30pmJam!We are located at:The Clubhouse [theclubhouseimprov.com]1607 N Vermont AveLos Angeles, CA 90027Remember, there’s a team lottery AND a jam every night, so everyone in the audience will have a chance to play.We are improv for the people so admission is free, but we urge performers and audience alike to throw a few rubles in the donation bucket. What is Chekhov’s Gun Night?

It’s not often that the Russians have something to celebrate. So when a name like Anton Chekhov gets tossed around, we Ruskies naturally perk up our frozen little ears. The famed writer is so prolific, he has his very own literary device: Chekhov’s Gun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chekhov%27s_gun).

In celebration of the man and his foreshadowing ways, The Manifesto Show is hosting Chekhov’s Gun Night, an evening of suspenseful scenes and loaded improv. Each performing team will be given a loaded cap gun to be used at their discretion. Build suspense by leaving the unused gun center stage until the final moments, or work a monoscene around its appearance. Use it early or late, silly or serious. But every team must use Chekhov’s Gun.

One gun, one stage, infinite possibilities.
